The University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, UK, is looking for a student to research Repair Cafes. The university offers a three year studentship, in conjunction with UCA’s Centre for Sustainable Design, led by Professor Martin Charter, who has been involved in the Farnham Repair Cafe for a long time already. The Centre for Sustainable Design has researched Repair Cafes on more occasions in the past.

“We are looking for a student to examine the rise and significance of Repair Cafes as vehicles of global citizen activism, focused on transforming civil society in the Circular Economy”, says Martin Charter. According to the job description, the successful candidate will investigate both UK and international Repair Cafes, possibly in collaboration with Repair Café International Foundation. Candidates should apply by 17th April 2023.
