Putney Repair Café – London
We repair : clothing and fabrics, small electrical appliances, computer equipment, small furniture, bric-a-brac. And bicycles, clocks – on request.
Some repairers, like those doing electricals, get very busy. To avoid disappointment, please register in advance https://forms.gle/yneVszcvxSypGFZE6. We only have two hours to try and fix all the items that are brought in. So priority will be given to items that can be fixed quickly. Items that take longer to fix can sometimes be accepted but that should be discussed with the repairer. A commercial fee would be expected.
We are located in the Busy Bee nursery on the river side of the church. Turn left past the bell tower and follow the path round to the right.
For directions to St Mary’s church, see https://stmarys.parishofputney.com/about-st-marys/values-copy/
St Mary’s church does not charge us for using their premises but we like to contribute to their running costs. So donations are essential to maintain the viability of this scheme. https://theparishofputney.churchsuite.com/donate/fund/vzjyyrcz
Our motto is FIX IT, DON’T BIN IT. Often the fix can be quite simple, like some restitching, a new fuse, some glue etc. This is why we ask you to watch what is going on. Hopefully this will inspire you to take on more repairs yourself.
We need more repairers of electricals, ceramics and blades. We also need helpers. Contact me by email or pop into the Tuesday workshop
