Our repair cafe is a community-run event where everyone is welcome. We would love you to drop in to learn how to fix a broken item, or join us as a volunteer.
We can help you to repair jewellery, clothing, small appliances and other household items. Our event is free, and open to all, regardless of their skill levels. We encourage you to contribute in your own way. For example, by bringing tools or snacks to share on the day, or helping out with welcoming, packing up, or repairs.
The repair cafe is run at the Hughes Community Centre, on the third Saturday of the month, from 10am to 1pm.
Note: this cafe was previously known as the Canberra Repair Cafe and hosted by the Canberra Environment Centre – it changed venue in early 2023, and the SEE-Change Woden Group took over managing the cafe in late 2023.
If our times or location don’t suit you, maybe one of the other repair cafes in Canberra can help.
